Dhanalakshmi’s father works as a maestri. Her mother is a daily
wage earner coolie. Dhanalakshmi is a Hindu but comes to
Sunday school each week. Her dad has a problem with alcohol
and uses the family money for alcohol. I have two brothers and
I live in a village called Elumayin Kottur in a small house with a
thatched roof. When it rains it comes into my home.

Guerre Rajesh’s father died in my early childhood. I have one elder brother and he is a mental patient and also an older sister. My mother is a cancer patient. She is now bedridden. We live with my grandmother. She is very old and can’t work so it is hard to provide food for all of us. I live in Andrha Pradash which is a slum area, east in Godari district. This is the only Telegu speaking state in India.

What is Christ for India?
Christ for India is an interdenominational nonprofit Christian organization founded in 1962 by Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Manuel Fernando. Christ for India is determined to reach the multitudes with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The members of the Board of Directors are dedicated to fulfilling the Lord’s command “work while it is day.” Christ for India has a had a consuming passion to spread the Gospel to men and women in the remotest parts of India through orphanages, child sponsorship programs, churches, mass crusades, Bible distribution, multimedia and gospel literature. One pastor described this ministry as having the greatest missionary impact in India over the last 100 years.
